Ogboni

Ogboni is a cult ( created for purposes)  called different names in different part of Yoruba  or I say ogboni have many  paths or branches according to my findings
In Ijèbú it is know as Osugbo.
Some called it Imule ( Convenient) and some  reffer to it as Awo Opa . It is fraternal institution indigenous to the Yoruba language speaking polities of Nigeria, Republic of Bénin and Togo, as well as among the Edo people. But now it has spread all over the word 
There is even a Reformed one named Reformed Ogboni Frantanity.
 The society performs a range of political and religious functions, including exercising a profound influence on monarchs and serving as high courts of jurisprudence in capital offenses. Also, the society is to protect and assist the members .

Its members are generally considered to constitute the nobility of the various language-speaking polities of Nigeria, Republic of Bénin and Togo, as well as among the Edo people. The society performs a range of political and religious functions, including exercising a profound influence on
